In Fitness to Help and Inspire others!

What a great day it was today. Today when I woke up besides my good morning messages from my love that I love so much, I had one message on my Facebook page Real Deal Fitness Motivation from a lady in California saying: " I want help to get in shape." I was so amazed with those words, I had a great feeling coming out, because I will help her achieve her goals. 
Help someone feel better with himself, smile every day a bit more because they are getting where they want, help getting stronger mental and physical that's priceless.

Today I couldn't workout in the morning. 

My morning workout today was shoveling the snow on my drive way, was 1h shoveling, not a bad workout.
But couldn't finish the day without pressing play, so after work I hit the gym with my buddy and we did Yoga X3 day 3 of 90 from P90x3. I felt great after the 30 minutes, I also notice that I have to keep on doing it because my flexibility really needs some improvements, but I know working hard and be consistent I will achieve my fitness objectives. 

There is no excuses bigger than your will. 
When you want something you will find or create time to do it. 
It's not only in Fitness but in your daily life. 
So if you really want something, fight for it, get off of your comfort zone and go get it. 
Goods things in life comes after hard work and perseverance.

Fitness my Sweet Addiction

After 3 weeks of resting due to an injure on my back, I'm back on track. I missed it so much, not being able to workout is like if my day is not complete. Yes I am addicted, addicted to fitness. My workouts nowadays it's like washing my mouth in the morning, can't start my day without having it. If I can't do it in the morning definitely has to be done in the evening, it's a nice addiction. 

I've started a new workout P90X3 it's from the same creator as P90X, TONY HORNTON, what a crazy old dude. This workout is just about 30 minutes a day. You read it right 30 minutes is enough for you to have a great workout. 30 minutes of intense, hard work it's what you need to have a great workout. If you just want to maintain, to start loosing weight, to get shredded this workout will work for you. If you want to compete for Body Builder, OK than I won't recommend it to you.

Before I stopped working out, I was in such great shape, I was able to do 2 INSANITY classes and still have strength to do something else, yeah I know I'm crazy. After 3 weeks resting I thought I would have something left in my tank. 
Pure mistake, Total Synergetics kicked my butt so bad. Around 15 minutes mark I've started feeling dizzy, my heart rate sky rocked, but was a great feeling, being pushed to my limits in so shortage of time. Total Synergetics it's a total body workout, from you arms, abs, chest, legs, calves and shoulder, you will feel it all working. You don't need heavy weights, light weight will do the work, or the resistant bands. Will be good to see my progression for the next 90 days. I know my improving will be crazy, I will be faster, stronger and leaner. But for now will be day by day and give all I can and can't.

Fitness can't be seen like a trend, not something you will do because everybody else is doing it, and than stop and start from where you left. When you stop you will have to start all over again from the basics. Fitness should be seen as a lifestyle, something that you enjoy and you do because you like to do it and you enjoy what it gives to you. Fitness beside the good looking it gives you, will provide you with something even more important than the physical aspect, it provides you mental strength. When you try to overcome what you can't do, you will work until you can, you will came out stronger from that simple exercise you were doing. So when life throws to you some obstacles you won't see it as difficulty but a challenge, and you are ready for challenges because you are stronger mental. 

Never let the words: I CAN'T, IMPOSSIBLE, beats you, you control your mind not the other way  around. Because you always "CAN" and "I'M POSSIBLE"!!! Not only in fitness but in life: "There's nothing you can't achieve when you put you mindset to". 

Always Trust and Believe in you.

Because today is Martin Luther King birthday, one of the greatest this world saw.

Fitness a lifestyle!!

Here I am again...

My last post was back in November 2012, more than a year since my last post. So much happen, so much changed, but my laziness to write didn't. Once again I won't promise  daily posts, but now I have another motivation to write (I will talk about it later).

I'm still in Jersey in an assignment from my company back home Portugal. I'll be starting my fifth year here in USA. It seems like yesterday (31st January 2010) that I've arrived.


On my last post I've wrote I was going for a trip in Negril, Jamaica for a 5 days vacations. An amazing place to go, amazing people, amazing beach and amazing music. For those who like to dance and enjoy yourselves and relax, I definitely recommend you to visit Bob Marley's country. Negril has been rated as one of the 10 top beaches in the world by several travel magazines. As you can see that's enough of a reason to give it a look and spend some quality time.

The thing that I liked the most was the peoples hospitality, so friendly and so peaceful of mind. They are relaxed but in a good way, they don't let the life's problems let them down, they try to be happy and enjoy with the little they have. That was a lesson I learned, I don't need much to be happy and be a better person. 

Life is only one and we should try to get the best it has to offer us.

Since than I didn't do any other traveling rather than going home several times. And why was that? Me not traveling around and going to know other places and enjoy myself. The reason is simple: Love found me. Since I got found by love I couldn't run away from it and most of all I didn't want to.

I found the one that completes me, the one that understands me (sometimes, I'm tough to understand even to me), the one that is my friend, the one I enjoy talking hours and hours, the one I miss every time I'm away from her, the one that loves to be my favorite clown, the one that makes me happy, the one I LOVE. Because of her every time I do have a chance I go back home to meet her and embrace her and her love.

Distance relationship are not easy, they demand even more than a door to door relationship. But that doesn't mean its impossible or is doomed to failure. When two persons want it so bad, and show they are willing to do whatever it takes to make things work, everything is possible.
Thank you my Angel for the patience and most of all the love you have given and still give me every day.

This  was definitely my biggest achievement in 2013.

2013 was definitely a great year for me. I have found my one and only but also found what I would love to do as a work in full time: Fitness!!!!

Since 2010 when I came to USA I was introduced to INSANITY, one of the most challenging and tough fitness DVD program. Before INSANITY I was going to the gym, hit the treadmill hit some weights and go home. But I didn't really know what I was doing, was kind of working at least I thought it was. INSANITY was a game changer in all aspects: physical and mental. In 60 days I saw crazy results with it, so I've did another 2 rounds. I was in the best shape of my life but I wanted more. That more came when INSANITY the Asylum vol.1 came out. The evolution of INSANITY, a sports performance program even more demanding than INSANITY, I can't remember how much I did curse SHAUN-T the creator of those crazy programs. After Asylum I wanted to mix the things up with some weights, so I start doing an Hybrid Calendar: INSANITY & P90X. P90X was created by TONY HORNTON another crazy dude. After 60 days of the Hybrid I wasn't only shredded as hell but I gained even more lean mass. In that moment I've realized how amazing those Home DVD programs where, how much I've learned with them. Did INSANITY Asylum Vol.2, P90X2, BodyBeast and T25. My know-how of exercises exploded with so much info, I was getting loaded with the tools without knowing for what.

The gym I use to go and do my workouts, I've start to have a small group of people doing the workouts with me, first my work colleagues and after some people I've met at the gym. Several times the Personal Trainers Manager of the gym told me to get certified and start teaching at the gym in part-time. One of those days I said to me: Why not?! Even if wasn't to teach I could learn something more to myself. At the same time the INSANITY certification came out, sweet. Because, what I really wanted to do was teach and give to others what INSANITY gave to me. But I could kill two in one shot. One week I did the AFAA Personal Trainer workshop and the other did the INSANITY certification. So I was more than ready to start helping people changing theirs lives.

I realized than I had all the tools (beachbody programs got me ready) was only missing the certification.
Being an INSANITY Instructor I've realized a dream that I never dreamed of, shooting a INSANITY infomercial with SHAUN-T and his crew. It all started with the casting in NYC, met amazing people and met the amazing TANIA BARON (The Machine). The shooting day I was surrounded by outstanding Individuals, other instructors like me with same love for fitness and INSANITY. A day to remember and never forget.

That day I've met so many amazing people but met an entrepreneur ROBERTO ESPOSITO.
Like me he always was very reluctant to become a Team BeachBody Coach, but after talking with MONICA WARD he changed is view in what was a BeachBody Coach. So he did the same with me.
He showed me that I was already a Team BeachBody Coach the only thing was I wasn't getting the benefits of being a real one.
What is a Team BeachBody Coach? Is someone that Invite people to get healthy and get in great shape, help people achieve their objective. Those objective can be: loose weight, eat better, get in an insane shape, gain some lean mass, all objectives related to fitness. And how people can get all of those? Simple, with one of the BeachBody programs and SHAKEOLOGY. BeachBody programs can be one of: HIP-HOP ABS, INSANITY, P90X, BRAZIL-BUT-LIFT, TURBO-FIRE and so many more. SHAKEOLOGY is a shake that can replace one of your meals a day, it contains the right dose of nutrition you should have every day, it helps you loos weight, helps you staying away of crap food, gives you extra energy, it helps your digestion system, it has so many benefits.
